Geometric studies

30 drawings

30 drawings, thirty mysteries enclosed in Euclid's lines from which emerge Pythagorean visions of a balance that astonishes the eye.

Geometry offers itself as an enigmatic grid for the plastic arts.

I let myself be tempted by the purity of the lines and the complexity of the formal mixtures.

My drawings are constructed as openings towards unforeseen configurations.

The resulting compositions exceed my imagination and never cease to captivate me.

The first drafts slowly evolve towards a constructed concretization inspired by geometry.

Under the patient questioning of balances and harmonies my drawings produce, as they

unfold, a personal visual language.

The rational figures tear enigmatic shadows from the white paper, which the eye seeks in

vain to reduce to the initial constructions.
